About

Art Therapist, RO DBT Clinician, HAES Advocate

Maggie is an art therapist in Brooklyn, NY, with over 20 years of experience helping people who look “fine” on the outside but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected underneath. She specializes in eating disorders, depression, anxiety, perfectionism, and patterns of overcontrol. She holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and a Master’s in Psychology from Antioch University Seattle. Maggie is intensively trained in Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT) and is the first art therapist on the RO DBT Senior Clinician Team. Her work is HAES-aligned, anti-diet, and weight-inclusive. She brings RO DBT together with art therapy and somatic awareness to help clients explore what words often can’t reach - patterns, emotions, and ways of being that feel hard to shift through talk alone. In sessions, clients can talk, make art, or do both. The work is active, creative, and often surprising, focused on loosening patterns of overcontrol, building emotional openness, and creating more room for connection and ease.
